Bonsai Sushi in Orlando

They getting one star not because the food, it because bec the terrible service. They made a mistake in my order. When told the waitress about it she raised her voice and told me it's my fault for not being clear enough. It came to a point that I didn't even want to stay there so I just left. The worst thing was that her boss stood over there and didn't say a word. Last time I put my feet in that place.

Great sushi, I have a shellfish allergy and they are so helpful and accommodating as well. The octagon is my new favorite here!

Absolutely the best sushi in Orlando. It is a little heavy on the price side, but well worth it to have amazing fish! I go as often as I can, I would suggest everything on the menu!

Everything from their sushi to their katsu is fantastic, as well as reasonably priced. Everyone there is super friendly and attentive, so you never have to ask for anything cause they ask you first. Definitely recommend!

Honestly the ONLY sushi place that’s yummy in Orlando!! Not to mention the family that owns it is so so sweet and provides EXCELLENT service!!

We have loved this place. However, tonight we went in with 3 people. They told us we couldn't sit together. They only have one table for four the rest are twos. The let us leave instead of accommodating us. Very disappointed we won’t be able to go back. We like to sit together with our family.

OMG- we have reached sushi Nirvana!! I just ate here with my sons and husband tonight, and all of our rolls were absolutely delicious. We’ve tried many other sushi restaurants in the area, and none come even close. The quality, freshness, and variety was phenomenal. I highly recommend going here!!! Oh- it’s a small place though, so make a reservation!

Outstanding sushi. The sashimi was very fresh and delicious. The Caleb Roll was remarkably good. I will definitely make an effort to visit again.

Love this place. Whenever we are in town, Bonsai is our must go to place to eat Sushi. Have tried many places but Bonsai is the best. You will not be disappointed.

Service and food presentation are good.

They have a wide variety of rolls, sashimi, and sushi selections. The service was very friendly and the food was very good.They were pretty busy when we arrived (a good sign) but we only had to wait about ten minutes for a table for three.

Terrible service. I made a to go order and went to pick up, they made a mistake and the waitress raised her voice starting accuse me of checking the order.stay away.... Bad bad bad service.

This place is fantastic. Friendly, cheerful staff. Delicious food. Always clean.

The sushi is very good, however they do not have good take out service. I have yet to be able to call in an order in advance to pick up, the only way I can get take out it to go in, sit for 30 minutes waiting for my order, and then go home. They don't answer their phone at all. They really should get additional help or jump into this century to figure out how to order online. They do offer DoorDash delivery, but it doesn't have their full menu and won't allow you to add items.ETA responding to their response: I don't write a review based on one experience, I have had several experiences where the phone was not answered or the line was busy for 15-20 minutes. And yes, it is fair to rate you on your service AND sushi, what good is having good sushi if you can't purchase it?

The salad was fresh and delicious. I had fried oyster sushi which is hard to find and it was soooooo good. This is always my go to first for sushi. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely recommend!

the best food ever!

We had a really good meal here. We can only speak of the sushi, because that's all we ever get at these places, but it was very tasty. They had an impressively large sushi menu. The waitress was very kind and the service was great. This place is quite small, so don't show up on a Saturday night with a large party and expect to be seated immediately.

Good, fresh sushi. Rolls can be pricy but tasty.

Don't let the size fool you. Very tiny gem in Orlando for excellent sushi. Mid range prices for the rolls, worth every cent for the quality. Really courteous staff. Go!

Love this venue. Small like a cafe so there is limited space. Some tables outside. One if my favorite Sushi restaurants in tow. Pricing good and plenty of parking too.

Creative rolls with consistent nod to neighborhood and area names. Seems like they put a lot of thought into the menu. High grade fish. Service is fast and friendly. We are always impressed by portion sizes as well. Wish they were open during lunch cause I hate waiting until 5.

Bonsai sushi is my favorite sushi in Orlando by far, it is charming and has some of the freshest fish. Highly recommend for date night or just getting some take out.

Second time here. 4 stars for food and freshness. 1 stars on wait time for food. And I’m by myself. At least serve me something while I wait. Just ordered sashimi and a roll. Bring out the sashimi first and I can wait on the roll. Chef started on a big table that walked in after me.

After visiting Tokyo in 2014, I’ve been trying to find sushi that comes close to that perfect taste and texture only truly found in Japan. This place is almost spot on! The sushi and sashimi selection is stellar, and the fish is obviously sourced from a second to none fish market. SUSHI SOOOO FRESH!!! The saki selection is superb, and they have the best go to Japanese beers available. The staff are always so very friendly, it’s no wonder this place is always packed! Honestly one of the best sushi restaurants in central Florida.

There is a reason why this place has a 5 star review from everyone. This is THE hangout spot for sushi lovers in Orlando. I come here maybe once or twice a month and I wish I could afford to go everyday.The sushi here is the best sushi I have had in Orlando, and I've eaten at a couple dozen sushi bars. You will be looking at a medium price range for sushi but the second you eat a roll, you'll notice a difference in quality, taste, and pride that was put into making the roll.The atmosphere is casual and relaxing, almost like a sushi bar that you'd see in an Asian movie where everyone is having a good time. The owners are awesome and extremely friendly. If you could only eat at one place in Orlando, you MUST come here. A 5 star review is not enough to showcase this place.

Small place with a lot of customers. Loyal customers. That says something, so when I went here my first time after being encouraged by some locals they were hosting a private event, the second time I tried to go they had closed early for some reason. Third time was a Monday night and I'll be back. The reviews are mostly correct, this place is awesome, the negative reviews are from some crazy ppl (seriously check their other reviews, they are crazy) they take their time and make good sushi. If you don't like waiting order ahead or come and drink some sake. Seriously, it's worth it.

Super cute intimate location. My partt of 4 meal was all correct and delicious. Attentive and personalized atmosphere. My "go to" place when I'm in Orlando.
